A Lasting Legacy

In 1907, Frank Craig turned personal resources into a mission of care, and that spirit of generosity has carried Craig Hospital for more than a century. When you include Craig Hospital Foundation in your will, trust, or estate plan, you become part of that same legacy: ensuring that patients recovering from spinal cord and brain injury will always have access to world-class rehabilitation. Your planned gift costs nothing today, can be adjusted at any time, and creates something lasting.

Frank Craig Legacy Society

The Frank Craig Legacy Society recognizes alumni patients, families, and friends whose planned gifts reflect that same spirit of generosity and foresight. By including Craig Hospital Foundation in their will, trust, or estate plans, these donors help ensure that future generations of patients recovering from spinal cord and brain injury will always have a place to turn. Their commitment stands as an example of what's possible through planned giving, inspiring others to leave a legacy of their own.

How Generosity Transforms Lives

Nearly 4,000 community members, grateful patients and their families, corporations, and foundations give annually to help patients thrive.

When Dan Dye thinks back to the afternoon of January 7, 2017, he takes a deep breath. “Looking back, our faith is stronger today, our family is closer, our friendships are deeper, and our lives are richer because a terrible thing happened. However, that terrible thing has brought a lot of good,” he says. “And we owe so much to Craig Hospital.”

In celebration of National Pet Day, it’s only fitting to spotlight two exceptional volunteers at Craig: Steve and his pet therapy dog, Hercules. Their journey with us began in December 2022 as one of 16 human-animal teams in our Animal-Assisted Intervention Program (AAIP), bringing joy and therapeutic support to our patients on a weekly basis.
